I’ve recently become a fan of the BBC gameshow OpenConnect. I’ve raced through the walls that can be played on the BBC website but now that I have run out I thought I would make some more and launch a version to which other people could submit.

This is a great website. Excellent to play and create. I can’t get enough of the walls on the BBC website.

I think your software is better than the BBCs. I love how you get the chance to enter the links even if you don’t get all 4 groups. Just like on the show!

Any plans for developing any of the other rounds?

Are there any plans for a leaderboard? This could be difficult to implement as the BBC have found out. It’s been over run with idiots clearly doing the boards twice under different usernames to get the fastest time! Grrr! Don’t know how you would get around that?

Great idea and I’m really enjoying going through the grids slowly. The only problem is when you’re identifying the categories. Sometimes if you don’t put exactly what the question setter said was the answer, you get it wrong. Eg, I just had a grid where one of the groups was ‘Characters in the game of Cluedo’. I put ‘Characters in Cluedo’ and it was given as incorrect. Just needs a bit of a check before grids are posted so that all variations on the correct answer are recognised.

Other than that, great work and keep it up!

    It’s a pity you don’t have a donate button! I’d definitely donate
to this fantastic blog! I suppose for now i’ll settle for book-marking and adding your
RSS feed to my Google account. I look forward to new
updates and will share this website with my Facebook group.
